Discover the magic of creativity at Montalvo Arts Center, where young artists ages 5–12 dive into visual arts, performing arts, and ceramics sculpture in one of the Bay Area’s most breathtaking settings. Our 175-acre grounds aren’t just a backdrop—they’re part of the experience, connecting kids to the natural world as they create, explore, and grow.
Led by professional artists and educators who know how to spark wonder and imagination, our summer camps inspire children to step away from screens and into hands-on artistic adventures. In a supportive, nurturing environment, your child will flex their creative muscles, forge new friendships, and discover unique ways to express themselves—all while breathing fresh air and surrounded by stunning nature.
At Montalvo, we don’t just teach art—we cultivate creative minds and connect young people to the beauty around them.
All camp registration must be completed online, including required documentation. We are unable to process registrations by phone. For assistance with registration, please contact our Box Office at 408-961-5858 (Monday–Friday, 10am–4pm) or email camp@montalvoarts.org.
Discover Your Creative Nature is Montalvo’s summer camp for young artists ages 5–7. In this hands-on program, kids will explore a variety of skills through playful engagement in visual arts and music, guided by our expert instructors James Green, Melody Kingman, and Sami Chang.
For ages 7–10, Montalvo offers three exciting camps: Culinary Arts, where kids explore the artistry of cooking in a professional caterer’s kitchen; Performing Arts musical theatre for budding performers ready to take the stage; and Visual Arts for young artists eager to create ceramics, draw, and create. Our expert instructors can’t wait to meet your talented kids!
Theater and visual arts await our 10–12 year old campers. We also offer a special Fort Making camp—an immersive woodworking experience for young makers featuring teamwork, design, and more. Theater campers will showcase their talents with a final performance at Montalvo’s Carriage House Theatre.
For families requiring financial assistance to attend summer camp, we invite you to apply for our Camp Scholarship program through the button below.
