Montalvo Arts Center offers summer camps between June 8th and July 31st. Volunteers are an asset to our program, assisting in planning and implementing quality arts education and experience, set up and take down of studio spaces, and maintaining a clean, safe, fun and organized camp atmosphere. Camp volunteers must commit to a full week of camp to be considered.

  • Application opens on March 1 and closes on April 1st
  • Volunteers will interview with Montalvo staff (15 min.) between April 20-24
  • Volunteers are notified of camp placements – May 1
  • May 27, 4:00-5:30pm – mandatory camp orientation
  • June 8th – Camps begin!

For families requiring financial assistance to attend summer camp, we invite you to apply for our Camp Scholarship program through the button below.

Discover a cultural oasis in Silicon Valley’s foothills. Montalvo Arts Center spans 175 acres of woodland trails and gardens in Saratoga, less than 20 minutes from Los Gatos, West San Jose, Monte Sereno, Campbell, Cupertino, Los Altos, Mountain View, Santa Clara, and Sunnyvale. Our summer camp instructors are working artists and educators who bring creativity to life across various art disciplines.

We enrich our community through diverse programming: summer camps, student performances, Carriage House Theatre concerts, rotating exhibitions, the prestigious Lucas Artists residency program, and free community festivals throughout the year.

Beyond our programs, everyone is welcome to enjoy a picnic on the Great Lawn, stroll through beautiful gardens, and experience our Art on the Grounds collection. With community support, we’re making the arts accessible to all in this remarkable setting.
