“It’s not necessary to be original- what matters is that you are authentic.”
Led by former Sony Music Nashville recording artist Teresa, PURE RONSTADT is more than a tribute. It’s a reverent and radiant celebration of one of the most iconic voices in American music history.
Originally performing under the name Long Long Time, the show has evolved into PURE RONSTADT, a title that more fully captures its mission: to present the timeless music of Linda Ronstadt with authenticity, soul, and heart.
Seven time College Entertainer of the Year and two time College Female Vocalist of the Year, Teresa brings unmatched energy, range, and reverence to Ronstadt’s beloved catalog. Her musical journey was profoundly shaped by Ronstadt’s influence.
“Linda Ronstadt’s music was the soundtrack of my youth, and she’s the artist who inspired me to chase my dream of becoming a professional singer. I was even blessed to work with her in the studio. She was recording background vocals on one of my songs— a moment I’ll never forget. I half joked, but meant every word, ‘Can’t you just sing lead? Honestly, she could’ve outsung me with her eyes closed.’ She smiled and said, ‘No, it’s your record.’”
That moment stuck with her. So did a simple, profound piece of advice Ronstadt gave her when Teresa admitted she didn’t see herself as a trail blazer:
“It’s not necessary to be original,” Linda said. “What matters is that you are authentic.”
That quote became the foundation of PURE RONSTADT, a show dedicated not to imitation, but to honoring the authentic artistry of Ronstadt’s music.
PURE RONSTADT – A Tribute to Linda Ronstadt is powered by a hand picked lineup of elite, seasoned musicians, each chosen for their ability to capture Ronstadt’s iconic sound with deep musicality, reverence, and precision. Together, they transport audiences to the golden era of the 1970s— recreating Linda’s signature solos and lush arrangements with heartfelt fidelity, care, and love.
TERESA (Vocals)
A gifted singer songwriter and dynamic performer, TERESA brings her sunny disposition and authenticity to everything she does. She’s shared the stage and studio with Linda Ronstadt herself, who once sang background vocals on one of Teresa’s tracks. “She was recording background vocals on one of my songs—a moment I’ll never forget. I half joked, but meant every word, ‘Can’t you just sing lead?’ Honestly, she could’ve outsung me with her eyes closed. She smiled and said, ‘No, it’s your record.’” Ronstadt’s advice—“It’s not necessary to be original. What matters is that you are authentic”—became a mantra for Teresa and a guiding light in her career. Teresa has penned hundreds of songs, A Tribute to Linda Ronstadt performed for NASA, Southwest Arilines, and the Girl Scouts of the USA, an was honored tosing at the STS-93 Space Shuttle launch and at the White House.
Andy Peake (Drums & Vocals)
Andy has toured and recorded with a long list of legends including Nicolette Larson, Tanya Tucker, Don Williams, Sweethearts of the Rodeo, Delbert McClinton, and Lee Roy Parnell. A founding cast member of Always… Patsy Cline at the Ryman Auditorium, he’s also performed alongside Pam Tillis, Suzy Boggus, and many more.
Mike Joyce (Bass & Vocals)
A Grammy Award-winning bass player, Mike has backed a staggering list of icons, including Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roger Miller, Vince Gill, Delbert McClinton, Rodney Crowell, and Hank Williams Jr., just to name a few.
Danny Parks (Guitar)
A long-time member of the Grand Ole Opry Staff Band, Danny has played on Top 10 hits and with artists including George Jones, Mel Tillis, Jo Dee Messina, and Brooks & Dunn. An elite multi-instrumentalist, he has also been featured on countless country hits and even Hollywood scores like Toy Story 2. Danny brings that vast experience to Pure Ronstadt and channels Ronstadt’s instrumental arrangements with striking accuracy.
John Paciga (Piano & Vocals)
John earned his undergraduate degree in Music at Yale and a master’s in Composition from Belmont University. Despite his youth, his command of Ronstadt’s musical style is impressive. His rich piano parts and blended harmonies elevate every performance.
Buford Jones (FOH Engineer — Special Appearances)
Legendary sound engineer Buford Jones occasionally joins the band to mix live performances. With a 47-year career mixing FOH for Pink Floyd, David Bowie, ZZ Top, and all of Linda Ronstadt’s tours, Buford knows better than anyone how Linda’s music should sound. In 2024, he was honored with the Parnelli Audio Innovator Lifetime Award. “Whether she’s performing her originals or covering Linda, Teresa is an amazing singer, songwriter and entertainer,” Buford says. “I’ve known her for twenty years, and I’ve always been impressed with her musicality and stage presence.”
In addition to interpreting Ronstadt’s repertoire, Teresa is an acclaimed singer-songwriter whose original work has taken her from the Nashville stage to the National Mall and beyond. She’s written custom songs for NASA, Girl Scouts of the U.S.A., and Southwest Airlines.
Her song “Brave New Girl” was selected as the official wakeup anthem for the first female-commanded Space Shuttle mission. She performed it live for the First Lady and later at the Paris Air Show in honor of the International Space Station.
For the Girl Scouts’ 100th Anniversary, Teresa led 250,000 girls in the world’s largest singalong and was invited to the White House for a fireside singalong on the lawn.
Her keynote concert presentations, where she blends story, song, and inspiration, have earned her a global following. But when it comes to Linda Ronstadt, Teresa brings her full heart to the stage. Her voice, sincerity, and respect for the music shine in every note.
